Piercing Precautions
Getting a piercing can be fun and exciting, but before getting a piercing, there are several important things to consider to ensure a safe and successful experience

AGE VERIFICATION: Minimum age for piercings at our studio is 13 yrs old.

IDENTIFICATION AND CONSENT FORM: The legal parent or guardian must be present to sign the release form if under the age of 18. Both the minor and parent must provide picture IDs with matching last names. If the minor does not have an ID with their birth date or if the last names do not match, please bring a birth certificate as well your picture IDs. The consent form you’ll have to sign has a detailed list of conditions like a bleeding disorders, heart conditions, or if you have to take antibiotics before going to the dentist. Please be honest so we can best assist you

RESEARCH: Research different types of piercings and their placement to determine the best option for you. Consider the healing time, aftercare, and potential risks and complications associated with each type of piercing.

STAY HYDRATED: Drink lots of water and try to get plenty of sleep! Please don’t drink alcoholic beverages the night before getting pierced. Even if it’s not enough to make you drunk or hung-over, it could still thin your blood the next day.

BE HEALTHY: If you are sick or feel like you’re getting sick, please wait until you’re completely better to get pierced. Coming in sick exposes the piercer and other employees and clients to your sickness and it may hinder your piercing’s healing process.

MAKEUP: The area around your new piercing will need to be cleaned before being pierced. If you’re wearing any makeup, (foundation in particular) you should be prepared to have the area thoroughly cleaned before the procedure. (Please don’t ever reapply makeup on or near a fresh

EAT/DRINK: Always eat a meal at least two hours before heading in to get pierced! Do not drink a bunch of caffeine or energy drinks before coming in! It will thin your blood and make it harder to sit still.

MEDICATION: If you have any pre-existing medical conditions or are taking any medications, it is important to consult with a healthcare professional before getting a piercing.

LIFESTYLE: Certain piercings may impact your daily life, such as your ability to participate in certain physical activities or wear certain types of clothing. Consider these factors before getting a piercing.

AFTERCARE: Proper aftercare is essential for proper healing and to reduce the risk of infection and other complications. Make sure you understand the aftercare requirements for your specific piercing and are committed to following them.

BE PATIENT: Healing times can vary, and it is important to be patient and allow the piercing to heal fully before changing or removing jewelry.
